Her Story

RoAnn Elias is a Florida contemporary painter of acrylic and mixed media pieces. Her interest in art began as a young child when she fell in love with the colorful tissue paper art of a favorite children’s book. The layering of transparent color and the use of different textures still inspire many of her current works of art.

RoAnn was born in Ithaca, New York and soon after moved to the small town of Eagle Mills, New York where she lived until she left for college. She has studied with many nationally known figurative sculptors and painters and is herself now a highly respected teacher of acrylic painting in the Northeast Florida Art community. She has also taught classes in sculpture and hand-built pottery.
